Arkansas State University's Convocation Center was completed in 1987 at a cost of $18.6 million. Located in Jonesboro, the hub of Northeast Arkansas, the Convocation Center serves a tri-state market area of 500,000, including more than 10,000 university students.

The Convocation Center has the versatility to host events ranging from small lectures to large conventions to even larger concerts, sporting events, and other activities. The Center seats 10,743 for concerts (up to 11,700 for concerts in the round) and 10,529 for basketball games.
Features Include:

• Multipurpose facility encompassing 192,000 square feet; 29,000 square-foot arena floor.

• Meeting rooms accommodating from 10 to 600 people. Specialized banquet facilities available for up to 600; more than 1,000 can be accommodated on the main floor.

• Four dressing rooms and four team dressing rooms.

• On-site parking for 1,300 vehicles with reserved parking spaces for handicapped and tractor-trailer parking. In addition to these parking spaces, 2,000 adjacent paved spaces are available with unlimited grass parking.

• Portable 60'X40' Sico stage equipped with 12'X 16' sound wings. Electrical capacity: 3,400 amps. Four Super Troupers; universal rigging.

• Auditorium with stage and seating for 271.

• Amenities include stagehands, catering, kitchen, backstage catering, courtyard, three meeting room and in-house service.

The Convocation Center is uniquely designed so that each of its four entrances shares equal prominence. The arena area can accommodate three basketball courts, seven volleyball courts, one tennis court, or a six-lane, 200-meter indoor track with facilities for field events. All courts are regulation size.

The Center features frequent academic usage and is designed to also accommodate rodeos, horse shows, truck and tractor pulls, ice shows, circuses, sports shows, trade shows, concerts, and a wide variety of indoor athletic events
